Lanugo Media Inc. is a bilingual family media company focused on creating culturally relevant content that inspires and empowers kids through the power of storytelling.

Since 2014, digital platforms, broadcast television, publishing, and liveshows have been produced to connect children to educational andentertaining content that promote diversity and values.

Carla Curiel

Carla Curiel is the co-founder of Lanugo Media Inc, a bilingual family entertainment company focused on creating culturally relevant content that promotes inspires and empowers kids through the power of storytelling. As CEO, Carla has led her team in producing and distributing over 100 animated shorts, two digital apps, award winning books, and successful live shows in 7 different states. Her integrated brand partnership strategies secured their first IP, Mundo Lanugo, national distribution via Univision, as well as numerous collaborations with companies such as Google, Macy’s, Samsung, Scholastics and Youtube.

Her most recent animated series, “Gloria wants to Know it All”, co-developed by Marc Anthony’s Magnus Media and academy-award winning Juan Jose Campanella’s MundoLoco studio has been recently picked up by Viacom CBS International Studios.

Carla is also a sought-out Latina mom speaker regarding raising bilingual and bicultural children, a contributor to Univision’s Despierta América, and has been featured in Huffington Post, Un Nuevo Día, Al Rojo Vivo, NBCLatino, and CNN enEspañol, amongst others.

 

Roberto Castro

Originally from Venezuela, Roberto grew up in the middle of a large family of colorful storytellers whose own stories were shaped by their experiences of growing up in Acarigua, a small agricultural town in Midwest Venezuela. It is from this treasure chest of stories, characters, and lessons that he draws inspiration to create stories for Lanugo Media Inc, which he co-founded. He has co-created over 100 animated shorts, two digital apps, four books and successful live shows. He is also the author of Mía Se Mete en un Lío, the award-winner in the 18th Annual International Latino Book Awards for Best Latino Focused Children’s Picture Books.

 His most recent animated series, “Gloria wants to Know it All”, co-developed by Marc Anthony’s Magnus Media and academy-award winning Juan Jose Campanella’s MundoLoco studio has been recently picked up by Viacom CBS International Studios.
